The farmhouse was sympathetically restored in 2001 and retains much of its original character. Upon entering you are greeted with a large kitchen complete with all the modern-day accessories to enjoy your stay. Up the stone stairs you will find the master bedroom and large bathroom. The accommodation opens to large living space with two further bedrooms which can be appointed with either single or double beds depending on your requirements. There is further sleeping space in the form of a double sofa bed. Through French doors you find the large walled garden with pool perfect for romantic al fresco dining underneath the clock tower.
Originally part of the maitre du maison you enter a large ceilinged room with wood burning stove and kitchen. Next door is a large bedroom that can be used as singles or doubles with original tiled mosaic floor. Upstairs you will find a large master bedroom with view to Church and the bathroom. At the top of the house in the attic there is a cosy double with skylight. The outside patio is set by the Rose garden overlooked by Church.
Idyllic place, lovely accommodation; the only difficulty is dragging yourself away to see all the Cathar sites. We wish we'd had more than a week.
